Ice House Ice Cream

Today my mind and I decided to take a trip to the Ice House for ice cream. It was a wonderful day even thought it was a figment of my imagination. They say I am loosing my ability to plan, but this was a master plan if I do say so. I even kept safety in mind so we didn't end up at the bottom of the lake like smelt to be dipped out in the spring.

It was a beautiful day, and Pam and I went down to the dock to wait for our boys. We knew they would come because they always do. It takes them longer to get here now because they are busy but we know they will come because we need them; so we stand and wait.

If you see us standing there you can join our journey. The only rule is you have to eat ice cream and wave at the other boats going by even if it rains, and it might rain.... but we have lived through it every other time.

Alex and Gregory came, and we got in the boat safely and drove to the Ice House and got ice cream. Everyone on the lake was jealous of me and my wonderful niece with our strong, handsome escorts on our way to get ice cream.

You all may not remember this because it was a figment of my imagination, but I will always treasure it as a memory and look forward to our next outing in the spring. We will wait for our boys and they will come and help us on and off the boat.

Aunt Marylin if that was a figment of your imagination you also were reading my mind. When Connie told me this story last week I could not believe it. I told her that I had been thinking a day or so before, that I had thought it was to bad my boat was out for the year, as it would be fun if we could all go to the Ice House for ice cream again. Most of this story is of a memory from this past late Summer/early Fall. Aunt Marylin, Connie, Gregory, Gretchen and I went to the Ice House in my boat one evening after a wonderful steak dinner at Aunt Marylin's. We did wave to people in other boats as we made our way to the Ice House. It did start to rain but we continued on our way as the ice cream was calling to us. We had such a good time. One of the amazing things was the good time you were having Aunt Marylin seeing you are not that comfortable around the water or in boats. Especially since it started to rain and you were the one who said let's keep going. So your story is not just a figment of your imagination but one made up of a wonderful memory that we all share. It is a memory of a beautiful evening that I will carry with me forever.
